Eustace provides regenerative design by utilizing natural process and sustainability principals to create projects that improve ecosystem services over time and make a positive impact. We look to meet and exceed expectations of environmental benchmarking systems such as LEED and SITES, and focus on setting up positive interactions between the systems of our projects and surrounding areas; this, in turn, helps improve the resiliency of our communities.
For instance, we use stormwater runoff as a resource to naturally irrigate plantings, slowing and filtering that runoff, encouraging infiltration for groundwater recharge which in turn helps maintain healthy stream base flows and improve water supplies. Landscape areas are designed to improve over time to benefit the habitat of people, flora, and fauna, improving ecosystem services such as natural cooling of our communities, filtration of air pollutants, and connecting people to nature.
