Provided full site-civil engineering services for a 26,000 s.f. addition to the Women’s Health Medical Simulation Building. Services included topographic surveys, conceptual layouts, and coordination with the University, project consultants, and construction manager. In working with the PWD, the project became one of the first green projects in the City of Philadelphia through the use of pervious concrete and a green roof. As a result, stormwater management was not required, therefore saving the client over $80,000. Prior to going in this direction, we had developed designs for full stormwater management which included bioretention facilities, rain gardens, green roofs, and subsurface recharge facilities.
Construction Cost: $ 8,000,000
